Henry's son posted the following on Facebook on Monday, January 11, 2021 - After more than a decade battling MS, and nearly a lifetime battling Type 1 Diabetes, Henry Damigella passed away peacefully yesterday morning. Due to COVID-19, we can't hold a memorial service.

Suffice it to say, I know how I would have ended my eulogy for a man whose blood ran Notre Dame Green and Gold. "And the last thing he said to me - 'Rock,' he said - 'sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell them to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Gipper.
