Henry's son posted the following on Facebook on Monday, January 11, 2021 - After more than a decade battling MS, and nearly a lifetime battling Type 1 Diabetes, Henry Damigella passed away peacefully yesterday morning. Due to COVID-19, we can't hold a memorial service.
Suffice it to say, I know how I would have ended my eulogy for a man whose blood ran Notre Dame Green and Gold. "And the last thing he said to me - 'Rock,' he said - 'sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell them to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Gipper. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock' he said, 'but I'll know about it, and I'll be happy.'" - Pat O'Brien as Knute Rockne. Rest in Peace, S. Henry Damigella 12/10/1943 - 01/10/2021

Sorry to here about "Harry" Henry's passing. He was one of my best friends in high school. One of my fondness memories is, along with other football team members, having a true Italian dinner with all the courses. All of us filled up with the first course, but the food kept coming and by the time we left all of us just rolled out of the house. What a wonderful family! I send my prayers and blessings to his wife and family. The world has lost a wonderful person!
